Identity and Account Information:

• Student ID number
• Full name (in English and Arabic)
• University email address
• Personal email address
• Mobile phone number
• Gender
• Date of birth
• Profile photo

Academic Information:

• College and major
• Graduation year
• Student status (active student or alumni)

Alumni and Employment Information (optional):

• Employment status and place of employment
• Job position
• Country of residence
• LinkedIn profile URL
• Curriculum vitae (CV/resume)
• Highest degree received
• Post-graduate university

Vehicle Information (for parking permits):

• Vehicle type, make, model, color, and year
• License plate number

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Location Data:

With your permission, we collect your device's geographic coordinates to help you discover nearby offers and partner locations. Location access is optional and can be disabled at any time through your device settings.

Device and Usage Data:

• Device type and operating system
• App usage patterns and interactions
• Push notification preferences

1.3 Authentication Data

• One-time passwords (OTP) sent via SMS or email for account verification
• Encrypted passwords for account login
• Authentication tokens for maintaining your session

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the App's services: Create and manage your account, display your digital student ID, process offer claims and redemptions, manage event registrations, club memberships, and parking permit requests.
• Personalize your experience: Display relevant offers, events, and content based on your profile, preferences, and location.
• Communicate with you: Send push notifications about offers, events, announcements, and account-related updates (with your consent).
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance functionality, fix issues, and develop new features.
• Ensure security: Verify your identity, prevent fraud, and protect against unauthorized access.
• Comply with legal obligations: Meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• PSUT departments: For academic verification, club management, parking administration, and alumni relations.
• Partner merchants: Limited information necessary to validate and process your offer claims and redemptions (e.g., your student status).
• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App, including cloud hosting and storage providers, authentication and notification services, and wallet integration services (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet).
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your personal data is stored on secure servers hosted by our service providers.
• Profile photos and documents are stored using Firebase Storage with appropriate access controls.
• Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage.
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest.
• Despite our efforts, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

• We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services.
• Alumni data is retained to maintain the alumni network and associated benefits.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see Section 10).
• Certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes even after account deletion.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through the App or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
• Withdraw consent: Disable location access, push notifications, or other optional data collection at any time through your device settings or the App's permission settings.
• Data portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

• Apple Wallet / Google Wallet: For storing your digital student ID.
• Firebase (Google): For cloud storage and backend services.
• Expo: For push notification delivery and app infrastructure.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
